Proposal Deadlines

There are two deadlines for submitting a proposal: an early review deadline and a final decision deadline.

(Optional) Early Review Deadline: Sunday, September 6, 2026
- Submitting a proposal during the early review period gives you the opportunity to receive feedback on your submission prior to the final submission deadline. This early review is not a decision on whether your proposal has been accepted; rather, it provides you the opportunity to make improvements for resubmission, if needed, before the decision deadline and improve your chances of having your proposal accepted.
- Submitting your proposal before Sunday, September 6, or for preliminary feedback, is optional. You may choose, at the time of submission, to forgo feedback and have your submission be treated as final.

Case Study

The goal of the Student Development Institute (SDI) Case Study Competition is for participants to consider a hypothetical, realistic scenario and put their leadership and critical thinking skills to work! The scenario will detail events you could easily encounter in your roles; this competition gives you practice managing those events as you consider how you would respond to the issues presented.

Case Study teams will be made up of three members from different institutions. Participants will receive the case study at the Case Study Kick-Off on Thursday, January 8, at 5:00 PM and must sign up for a presentation block during that meeting. Please ensure that you are not presenting an educational session during your selected slot, and confirm that your travel and departure times do not conflict, as we are unable to make program changes to accommodate overbooking.
